Goodbye 2013!
Hey all!
I must say that the year 2013 has been a most challenging time for me... On January 17th, my dear mother passed away suddenly after years of caring for my ailing father. My father passed away on May 30th after several cancers, but the one that took his last breath was lung cancer. I was able to fly to Winnipeg to see my dad on several occasions this year (one, to comfort him when he lost his dear wife (my mom), another to visit him in the hospital before he spent his final 2 weeks at the Jocelyn House, an end-of-life hospice). One of my biggest regrets was that I didn't get to see my mom before losing her... I had only seen my m

Looking forward to Spring in a big way... :sun: I've never been a fan of winter but this year, in particular, it feels a little more tiring for me. That's why I chose this skin for my journal - most uplifting!! :aww:
I just want to thank everyone for their warm wishes welcoming me back to DA. I had taken a much needed break since March 2010. I am back, however, I will not be able to spend as much time as I use to on DA.
