To new beginnings! Onward and upward and all that jazz! I thought I'd start the new year with a feature of a few of my faves from friends highlighting two of my passions:  water and warm weather. Hey all! I must say that the year 2013 has been a most challenging time for me...  On January 17th, my dear mother passed away suddenly after years of caring for my ailing father.  My father passed away on May 30th after several cancers, but the one that took his last breath was lung cancer.  I was able to fly to Winnipeg to see my dad on several occasions this year (one, to comfort him when he lost his dear wife (my mom), another to visit him in the hospital before he spent his final 2 weeks at the Jocelyn House, an end-of-life hospice).  One of my biggest regrets was that I didn't get to see my mom before losing her... Looking forward to Spring in a big way... :sun: I've never been a fan of winter but this year, in particular, it feels a little more tiring for me.
